Wang Xi Fashion Studio
Wang Xi Fashion Studio is a retail space for an independent fashion designer brand, with a gross built area of 81 square meters. The design takes fabric as the starting point, in form and in material, to create consistency between the space and the clothing brand. Curved surfaces and wood grain echo the soft texture of cloth. The dressing room stands at the front of the display area and sets the rhythm of the space. A semi-enclosed tea break area is partly separated by a half-height curved wall. The clothing workshop is placed in the most hidden part of the space.
Wang Xi Fashion Studio Retail Space by Mi Qiangqiang was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wang Xi Fashion Studio Retail Space earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
