Mountain and Sea
Mountain and Sea is a residential apartment interior arranged around a soft grey palette that conveys harmony and warmth. Vintage stones and pale grey oak wood patterns are combined with a matte titanium-plated stainless steel ceiling, while stacked grey rustic mirrors extend the visual field. The living room receives natural light from three sides, guided indoors by an organ curtain. Boards made from recycled pine fibers form the dining room cupboard. A comprehensive modern electrical layout reduces energy use and supports sustainable living.
Mountain and Sea Residential Apartment by Te-Yu Liu and Hui-Ching Chang has been featured as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mountain and Sea Residential Apartment won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
