Camellia Restaurant

Camellia

Camellia is a restaurant located in a shopping mall in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The interior combines loft, modern and French styles, responding to the brand and to the mall. Pink flower walls are joined by black tones, gold trim, mirrors and arches, recalling Paris. Pink is used across the design, furniture, tableware and food, including the marble tables, chairs, benches and napkins. The shapes of the chairs and benches recall camellia petals. Antique mirrors on some walls extend the space and repeat the flower walls by reflection.

Camellia Restaurant by Alvan Suen has been highlighted as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Camellia Restaurant received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
