Hidden Home Residential Building

Hidden Home

Hidden Home is a residential building located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, with a property area of 542.8 square meters. The main structure is made of fair faced concrete and slate stones, combined with linear wooden grilles that resemble a square curtain. Massive olive green stones on the exterior give a solid appearance. Light passes through the wooden grilles, while vertical wooden shelves and furniture create a warm and calm interior. The layout is based on a courtyard, and a water wall with planting supports a relaxed and private family life.

Hidden Home Residential Building by Ping-Hsin Chen has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hidden Home Residential Building received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2020. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which honors superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
