B Fora
B Fora is a ceramic vase designed for home interiors. The form reinterprets the classic Greek amphora and adds curved surfaces and two straight handles. The proportions were studied so that the vase stays in balance after it is removed from the mould. The inside is dipped in a glossy crystalline coating that makes the vase waterproof, so liquids can be held safely. B Fora can be used to serve beverages, to hold flowers or as a decorative object. The vase is made of whiteware ceramic through the slipcasting technique.
B Fora Vase by Nicolau dos Santos has been recognized as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. B Fora Vase was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
