Tracing Clouds
Tracing Clouds is a sales center located in Shandong, China, completed in 2019. The interior covers 400 square meters. The design draws on the atmosphere of an ancient town, with white walls, mist, stone bridges and moonlight recalled through modern forms. Black and white elements recall Chinese ink landscape painting. Marble floors in gray and dark brown create a sense of depth and elegance. Marble walls with gray texture suggest mist, and artistic pendant lights recall moonlight. A lounge with a plain floor lamp and sheer curtains offers a relaxed setting.
Tracing Clouds Sales Center by Li Zhang has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Tracing Clouds Sales Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
