Verse of Tact
Verse of Tact is a residential interior design for an apartment of 152 square meters in Taichung, Taiwan. The layout is open, so the living area holds a sofa, a piano, audio devices, a dining section and a bar station without a cluttered feeling. Beams and ceilings are finished with an up-cycling cement topcoat made from reservoir residues. A red brick wall keeps its original mortar and masonry. Botanic-print wallpaper replaces paint, and the floors combine leftover stone slabs, wood planks and tiles. Emerald marble and floral decorative glass add local character.
Verse of Tact Residential Interior Design by Hsin Ting Weng was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Verse of Tact Residential Interior Design received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
