May Cuisine
May Cuisine is a restaurant interior design located in Yangzhou, China. The space covers 290 square meters. Geometric blocks, interspersing and array techniques are used to create an artistic atmosphere. A tall volume at the core of the plan uses a vertical structure to balance the spatial rhythm. The bar volume is enlarged, and refined metal is set against coarse cement to create contrast. Red, drawn from ripe bayberry, sets the main tone. Materials include floor paint, stainless steel, glass, fabric, steel plate and terrazzo.
May Cuisine Restaurant by Jiannan Zhang has been selected as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. May Cuisine Restaurant was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
