Harlem Advocacy Posters

Harlem Advocacy

Harlem Advocacy is a series of advertising campaign posters created for a public health advocacy program based in Harlem, New York City. The posters combine a brand lock up with illustrated icons, and each icon represents one service, such as medical, social, educational or job related support. One main poster shows all icons together. For public distribution, the series is divided into single posters, each showing one icon in a large size. The visual style is influenced by pop art, so the services can be recognized quickly by local residents.

Harlem Advocacy Posters by Jiaqi Song has been highlighted as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Harlem Advocacy Posters was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
