Adamas
Adamas is a floor lamp designed for home use. The lamp combines a slender metal structure with a paper lampshade. The lampshade is folded by hand from FSC parchment paper using the origami technique, and it can be removed and refitted by the user. The structure is made of square section iron tubes fixed to a circular iron base with a waxed surface. A brass cone acts as the lamp holder and joins the two parts. The parchment paper makes the light soft and warm, and the light is directed towards the ceiling. An LED E27 bulb is used.
Adamas Floor Lamp by Francesca Schiavello has been identified as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Adamas Floor Lamp won the Silver A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
