Eco Expo
Eco Expo Korea is a poster and web interactive design about food desertification. The poster is produced in A0 size and measures 1189 by 841 millimeters. Multiple pixel layers appear and disappear over images of plants, damaging them or turning them into new forms. Each layer covers the previous one by changing its ratio. The effect refers to a 404 error and shows the gap between the original plant and an artificially selected new concept. The design aims to raise awareness of plant species that are disappearing.
Eco Expo Poster by Juwon Kim has been highlighted as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Eco Expo Poster won the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that recognizes exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
