Vague Stool

Vague

Vague is a backless chair formed by continuous structural curves. Each viewing angle reveals a different harmonious composition. Vague is made of steel tubes with a diameter of 5/16 inch, shaped by bending and joined by welding. The surface receives an electrostatic paint or a copper coating finish. The dimensions are 400 mm in width, 390 mm in depth and 420 mm in height. The curves were inspired by the ripples of a water droplet falling into a river and by the structure of leaves. Vague can be used as a seat or as a decorative object.

Vague Stool by Rodrigo Erthal was recognized as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Vague Stool received the Golden A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
