Light and Shadow
Co-real Smart Home is a flagship store and office building in Hangzhou, China. The 1800 square meter project is a renovation of a simple factory. The building is treated as a white box with distinct volumes arranged around a central courtyard, giving it a clear identity within its surroundings. A high atrium opens the public hall, which forms the center of the horizontal and vertical circulation. The first floor holds a product showroom and sample rooms where each smart home system can be experienced. The second floor is a comprehensive office area.
Light and Shadow Flagship Store by Yun Mao has been selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Light and Shadow Flagship Store received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
