The Wu
The Wu is a private house interior designed for a family of three. The minimalist approach removes unnecessary ornaments and furniture, leaving concise lines and a closer relation between people, objects and space. European lines form the basic elements and appear both curved and straight, dynamic and static. The 145 square meter home holds a living room joined to the dining room, a reading area by the bay window, a master bedroom with bathroom, a child's room and a walk-in closet. Gray walls and a panel wall with a hidden door keep the interior calm and tidy.
The Wu House by Yaoming Huang was selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Wu House received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
