Dawn
Dawn is a residential interior design for a 105 square meter home in Taichung, Taiwan, completed in January 2021. The scheme moves away from the minimal Nordic palette and uses soft, gracious colors with carefully selected decorations. Green coating materials are applied instead of traditional marble walls, a choice that is more environmentally friendly and allows colors to be changed easily. A low girder is treated as a feature that links the dining and living areas. Natural ventilation and daylight are brought into the space for comfort.
Dawn Residential Space by Chien-Neng Chang has been selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dawn Residential Space received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
