Next Hub
Next Hub is a mixed use complex in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that combines hospitality, administration, entertainment, retail, food and beverage and recreational zones. The composition explores the relation between solid and void. Building volumes enclose a central open plaza, recalling traditional markets and creating an urban experience with social interaction. Internal courts bring natural ventilation and daylight into the hotel and administration buildings. Finishes include honed travertine stone, black steel and double glazed glass.
Next Hub Mixed Use by Ahmed Habib was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Next Hub Mixed Use earned the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that honors excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
