Bumpy
Bumpy is a glass vase designed to hold flowers and to serve as an interior object. The vase is mouth blown and shaped by hand by glass studio craftsmen in Poland. Rough glass shards are placed on the rim, where they act as ornaments and recall the texture of melting ice. A calm Scandinavian color palette gives the vessel a harmonious character. The simple shape suits a windowsill, a side table or a dining table. Bumpy holds a single flower branch and also looks complete when left empty.
Bumpy Vase by Sini Majuri was featured as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bumpy Vase was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
