Hill Mansion
Hill Mansion is a landscape design completed in 2021 in Nanjing, China. The site lies close to the waterfront of the Yangtze River, so the surrounding scenery is borrowed as part of the composition. Planting forms an undulating skyline that blends with the natural environment. Red maple trees, well known in the Qixia District, shape the main theme. At the entrance, a curved concrete wall represents wind moving between valleys, forests and water. A central pool at the lowest point of the site collects and purifies rainwater.
Hill Mansion Landscape Design by Bing Dong was recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hill Mansion Landscape Design received the Silver A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2022. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes excellent design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
