Glimmering Figure
Glimmering Figure is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. Greyscale tones of black, grey and white set a modern and simple visual style. Square and round metal surfaces on the walls are paired with indirect lighting to add depth. A partition wall in the open study was removed, so the entryway, living room, study and kitchen connect smoothly for hosting guests. Changes in flooring materials and ceiling lines mark each area quietly. Materials include marble, special paints, baking paints, metal plates and solid wood veneer.
Glimmering Figure Residential by Ching-Lin Yu was recognized as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Glimmering Figure Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
