Doe O-Mega Urban Complex Building

Doe O-Mega Urban Complex

Doe O-Mega Urban Complex is a mixed-use building designed for a site in Bonifacio Global City in Manila. The elliptical, three-dimensional O-shaped form covers 400,000 square meters and contains offices, residences, a hotel, shops, and meeting spaces. The atrium stays shaded for most of the day, creating a comfortable outdoor space, while a wind tunnel guides natural air to cool the atrium and the lobby. Light-colored concrete, aluminum panels, and glass reduce heat absorption. Photovoltaic glass railings collect solar energy, and the podium roof holds a public garden.

Doe O-Mega Urban Complex Building by Peng Architects Inc. was identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Doe O-Mega Urban Complex Building was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
