Dahua Park City
Dahua Park City is an exhibition building set between mountains and a lake in Kunming, China. The main volume is stilted above the sloped site, while multi-layer terraces and long French windows open wide views toward the surrounding landscape. The curved facade is formed from 3,276 triangular aluminum panels, each carrying a different perforation pattern. The panels were joined in pairs to simplify installation. The interior route creates a spatial sequence that frames the lake view. The gross floor area is 2,200 square meters.
Dahua Park City Exhibition by Shanghai Puspace Architectural Design Co has been identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award.
