Formation
The Formation Cabinet can serve as a bedroom chest, sideboard or entertainment unit. There are 5 doors and 2 drawers which are mantled in goatskin and open in different directions, some of them open in unique ways. The encasement is finished in a hand polished gloss crystal resin and the metal legs are plated in polished nickel. The sculptural aspect is manifested in the shape of the encasement and legs, while the sophistication derives from the composition of elements and the utilization of materials.
Formation Cabinet by Oliver Philipe Bowien has been recognized as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Formation Cabinet was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which recognizes superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
