The Sun House Sustainable Social Building

The Sun House

The Sun House is a sustainable building designed to generate and reuse energy on site. The roof and exterior walls are made of solar panels with a total capacity of 65.57 kW. The interior is built mostly from recycled cypress timber, reshaped into ceilings, flooring, furniture and partitions. A heat pump system circulates heat to regulate the temperature, and collected rainwater is stored in a ten ton tank for garden irrigation. The building provides 440 square meters of indoor space and aims to be self sufficient.

The Sun House Sustainable Social Building by SunEdge PV Technology Co., Ltd has been recognized as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Sun House Sustainable Social Building received the Golden A' Design Award in Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design in 2022. The A' Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of sustainable projects, environment friendly designs, recycled, upcycled, bio-degradable products, Energy-Efficient appliances and more.
