Light and Shadow
Light and Shadow is a multi-functional office interior in New Taipei City, Taiwan, covering 61 square meters. The space offers rest and dining areas for staff and a reception room for meetings with guests. Contrasts of wood and stone, light wood tones and cool grey divide the open plan into two clear zones without walls. A hollow ceiling, striped wall columns and wall washer lighting add order and comfort. Stone scraps are reused across several surfaces to limit waste and to support sustainable design.
Light and Shadow Office by Tuo Ying Design Company has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Light and Shadow Office received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
