NorthYork Design
NorthYork Design is an office interior of 100 square meters. The office contains a reception area, a counter, a meeting area, a working space and a tea room. Natural stucco, hand-applied paint, wood and stone form a calm and uncluttered setting in low-chroma colors. A reception desk of iron and veneer is lit from below, which reduces the visual weight of the volume. Transparent glass partitions replace solid walls, so the areas stay open and connected. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight and views of greenery into the space.
NorthYork Design Office by Alex Hsiung has been featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. NorthYork Design Office won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
