Xuelian Liangdian
Beijing XLLD Creative Park is a lighting design for the public spaces of a renovated building in Beijing, China. The building was formerly a textile shopping mall, and the renovation created offices, small retail units, a theater, roof gardens and exhibition areas. The lighting creates the feeling of an office lounge with cultural events rather than a common office. Narrow beam 4000K LED wall washers light the white facade, while warm white LED lights mark the bronze curtain wall above the main entrance. Hidden 3000K LED strips guide the audience to the seating area of the theater.
Xuelian Liangdian Office and Retail by LDPi (China Branch) was highlighted as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that recognizes exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
