Jstone Italian Kitchen and Bar
Jstone Italian Kitchen and Bar is a restaurant interior located in the Dongjiadu area of Shanghai. The site stands near the first Catholic church in the city, where Chinese and Western cultures have long blended. The design follows the concept of sailing through the East and the West. The space draws on the classical Shikumen architecture of traditional Shanghai neighborhoods and is reshaped with Art Deco details. Materials include bronze stainless steel, Ariston marble, black galaxy marble, walnut veneer and leather. The refined result reflects a contemporary Shanghai style.
Jstone Italian Kitchen and Bar Restaurant by Yifan He has been identified as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Jstone Italian Kitchen and Bar Restaurant was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
