The Regeneration of Oriental Landscapes

The Regeneration of Oriental Landscapes is a marketing center located in Ningbo, China. The design takes its clues from the islands of Meishan, where waterways cross in many directions. Curved lines shape the plan, and still and moving areas alternate. Outside, a bamboo forest sways and casts light and shadow into the rooms. Bamboo links the interior and the exterior, so the boundary between building, landscape and interior becomes soft. The minimalist principles of Song Dynasty aesthetics and modernism guide the whole space. The project was completed in November 2021.

The Regeneration of Oriental Landscapes Marketing Center by Xingbin Yang was identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Regeneration of Oriental Landscapes Marketing Center was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
