Geosong
They performed the design for a residential building located in a hilly area. Thus, they set out to integrate into their design the structure of the earth while echoing the natural forces shaping the hills, strata-soil, and spring water found therein. Resonating with the landscape of rolling hills, this residential building channels and gives form to the natural energy embedded in the multiple layers of intertwined strata and springs surrounding it.
Geosong Residential Building by Moriyuki Ochiai Architects was identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Geosong Residential Building received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that celebrates outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
