Delirios
Delirios is an armchair that combines craft work with digital production methods. The base was designed using parametric waffle programming, a type of 3D modeling that creates a flowing structure joined by fittings. The base is cut by CNC machines from certified multi-laminated wood. The backrest and the seat are made by hand and rest lightly on the wooden structure. The base meets the floor at four points of support. Upholstery is available in leather, wool, thread or cotton. Delirios unites digital technology with Brazilian craft traditions.
Delirios Armchair by Guto Requena has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Delirios Armchair won the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
