Kaisa Yuebanshan
Kaisa Yuebanshan is a community center in Zhongshan, China. The building covers 2100 square meters and is organized on two floors. A three-story volume connects two terraces with a height difference of about four meters. The design draws on local Lingnan architecture, including patio spaces and curved walls. Arc-shaped white walls are repeated to give the facade a soft and rhythmic appearance. A 12-meter span and a 5-meter cantilever keep the interior open. Public spaces on both floors support daily life and frame the mountain views to the north and south.
Kaisa Yuebanshan Community Center by Shenzhen TIANHUA & Kaisa Group (Shenzhen) Co.,Ltd. was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Kaisa Yuebanshan Community Center earned the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that honors exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
