Chengdu Holdings Glory In History

Glory In History is a sales center located in Chengdu, China. The interior connects traditional and modern design through color, and it takes inspiration from a green landscape painting of the Northern Song Dynasty. A traditional courtyard layout is used, and each space is linked to the next to form a rich spatial sequence through turning axes. A porcelain screen is arranged in a horizontal and vertical array, molded on the glaze and finely cut to create an effect of separation and breaking. A large bronze pendant shaped like a sailboat marks the meditation area.

Chengdu Holdings Glory In History Sales Center by Faye Yang was recognized as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Chengdu Holdings Glory In History Sales Center earned the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
