Tranquility
Tranquility is a residential interior design for an apartment of approximately 297.5 square meters in Taiwan. The layout includes two bedrooms plus a study, a living room and a dining room. A clear boundary separates the public and private areas. The public area is open, with a large desk and ceiling-high cabinets. A wood-grained ceiling links the public area to the master bedroom and an independent audiovisual room. Materials include natural marble, raw concrete, iron parts and painted wood veneer in low-saturation gray tones. Hidden storage is placed behind continuous molding walls.
Tranquility Residential by HUANG JO HSI was featured as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Tranquility Residential won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
