Huayue Palace
Huayue Palace is a private house interior design located in Chengdu, China. A high ceiling space between two floors improves ventilation and natural light in the public area. A pair of transparent wing sculptures replaces heavy chandeliers, honoring the resident who cares for stray animals. Work, reading and play areas are arranged along a long corridor beside the children's rooms, so adults can stay close. Shelters for cats, dogs and birds are placed in the roof garden. A fresh air system keeps temperature and humidity constant, quiet and clean.
Huayue Palace Private House by Hui Xie has been highlighted as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Huayue Palace Private House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
