Corridor
Corridor is a restaurant and bar located in Luodong, Taiwan. The interior occupies the first floor of a renovated old house and covers 165.2 square meters. The long and narrow plan is divided into two areas. The front space is a dark bar for drinks and conversation. The back space is a bright glasshouse for meals and gatherings, converted from a former backyard. Translucent fiberglass panels and an insulated tin roof control light and heat. The dark wall is used to display artwork, so the restaurant also works as a small gallery.
Corridor Restaurant by Ke-HsuanYang has been featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Corridor Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
