Contemporary 90s
This project involved the renovation of a 1990s residence, originally presenting an emblematic high quality architecture of Brazilian design from that decade. Given the significance of the architecture, the intervention was limited to the interiors, aiming to preserve the 1990s character while updating the spaces to contemporary standards. The approach considered the original design intent, enhancing functionality and comfort without altering its architectural essence.
Contemporary 90s Residential House by Thiago Mondini has been featured as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Contemporary 90s Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
