Modern Courtyard
Modern Courtyard is a residential interior design for a home of 1423 square feet in HsinChu, Taiwan. The original layout was changed to form a spacious living room and dining room, an entryway opening to the kitchen, a master bedroom and two guest bedrooms. Two circular routes organize the plan, with the corridor as an axis. The arrangement follows the concept of the three entry courtyard of traditional Chinese buildings. Only white oak and walnut are used. Ceilings of different heights let light pass and make the rooms feel larger.
Modern Courtyard Residential by Tai Kuan Huang has been recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Modern Courtyard Residential won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
