Trido
Trido is a set of magnetic building blocks used to create decorative objects. The set is based on the geometry of Platonic solids, using tetrahedron, octahedron and half-tetrahedron shapes. A patented magnetic system allows every side of every piece to connect to another, aligning along the edges without repelling. Thousands of forms can be assembled, such as a sculpture, a vase, a mask or a holder. The pieces are made of ABS plastic, and the magnets are hidden inside an inner nest. Six color palettes are offered.
Trido Magnetic Building Blocks by Artur Tikhonenko has been recognized as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Trido Magnetic Building Blocks was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Homeware Design in 2023. The A' Decorative Items and Homeware Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which recognizes outstanding design of tableware, lighting fixtures, cookware, decorative accessories, bathroom accessories, furniture, textiles, kitchen gadgets and more.
