Canterbury
Canterbury is a residential interior design for a 350 square meter home with six rooms in Taiwan. Each space is given a different style, including modern chic, Indian antique, Japanese Zen and classic American, so that gatherings with guests from varied backgrounds are supported. The first floor holds a garage with linear lighting and storage cabinets. The second floor has a living room with a four meter dining table. The third floor is the master bedroom. Upper floors include an indoor Japanese courtyard, a quiet reading room and a room for personal collections.
Canterbury Residential House by Huang Henghsin has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Canterbury Residential House earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
