Ode of Dance
Ode of Dance is a residential interior design for an 85.9 square meter apartment in Taiwan. The home contains three rooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms. A movable wall and sliding doors form a flexible social area, so the family can rest apart from the daily routines of others. Trims, curves and tiles express a French style in a minimalist manner. Milky brown and beige unify materials such as Spanish tiles, herringbone wood flooring and solid wood louvers. Acoustic foam lines the walls for sound insulation.
Ode of Dance Residence by Pi-Hsiang Hsieh has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Ode of Dance Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
