Melody of Happiness
Melody of Happiness is a residential interior design for a retirement home of 59.5 square meters in Taiwan. The layout holds an open social area, a master bedroom, a second bedroom and a bathroom. One partition was removed to enlarge the master bedroom for the two residents. A large beam is wrapped in curved cladding to reduce its heaviness. Light tones, pink paint and beige curtains create a warm and bright atmosphere. Strips of faux titanium-plated metal panels flow across the space. Door handles were removed and floor levels were kept even to lower the risk of falls.
Melody of Happiness Residence by Dengfeng Interior Design has been selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Melody of Happiness Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
