Chanba Poly
Chanba Poly is a grand theater interior located in Xi'an, China. The theater is the centerpiece of the Chanba Silk Road International Cultural and Art Center. The design is inspired by a gem on the banks of the Chan River, and the building appears as a large stone set within the Qinling Mountains. The public hall extends the flowing lines of the building and forms a visual dialogue with the curtain wall. Materials include GRG, artificial stone, metal grilles, aluminum panels, paint-free decorative panels and sound-absorbing panels. The interior joins regional culture with a modern form.
Chanba Poly Theatre by HONG Designworks has been identified as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Chanba Poly Theatre received the Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
