Move
Move is a chair designed to adapt to individual body shapes and ergonomic needs. The seat can change its tilt angle like a cradle, while the backrest is suspended at two converging points, so the backrest can rotate and tilt. A pressure sensor embedded in the seat reminds the user to stand up after a set period through vibrations. The structure is made of cast aluminum with fully recycled content, and the seat, backrest and armrests are made of five-axis milled cork. Move can be assembled by the user and shipped in flat boxes, which reduces the carbon footprint.
Move Chair by Ariel Śliwiński was selected as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Move Chair received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
