Ecru Restaurant

Ecru

Ecru comes from the French word Ecru, describing the color of unbleached linen. Ecru Restaurant in Taipei's East District aims to offer a relaxed dining experience. The design uses a corridor at the entrance to shift from city hustle to tranquility, leading to an open area with a central open kitchen. This setup integrates cooking into the dining experience, engaging diners with sounds and aromas.

Ecru Restaurant by Chia Yu Chan was featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Ecru Restaurant won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
