High Mountains Flowing Water
High Mountains Flowing Water is a poster and visual identity created for an exhibition of Chinese and Italian art. The design blends Eastern and Western elements to express cultural exchange. The Chinese characters for mountain and water are joined with English letters in one fluid calligraphic motion, and the letters M and W form a shape that recalls a Roman column. A palette of red, white and green refers to the Italian flag. The exhibition title, date and venue are set in larger type for quick recognition. Tote bags, fans and staff badges share the same visual design.
High Mountains Flowing Water VI Design by Luo Baoquan, Feng Jiamin, Lv Zhiwei was recognized as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. High Mountains Flowing Water VI Design won the Silver A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2025. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that honors exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
