Essence of Space
Essence of Space is a residential interior design completed in Taipei, Taiwan. The apartment covers 58 square meters and contains a living area, a dining area, a kitchen, a study and guest room, a master bedroom and a bathroom. An open floor plan allows natural light from one side to reach far into the home. Sliding and folding doors let each area be closed off or joined with the rest. Double glazing reduces noise and helps control temperature. Built-in wooden cabinets and metal racks are fixed to bearing walls for safety.
Essence of Space Residential Interior by Studio One has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Essence of Space Residential Interior was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
