Time Imprint
Time Imprint is a residential house designed for elderly residents in a rural setting near Suzhou. The three-story building covers 680 square meters and combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with accessible planning. Anti-slip rubber flooring, handrails along the main passage, an elevator and a ground floor bathroom reduce walking distances and the risk of falls. Diatomaceous earth walls, carbonized bamboo, oak flooring and granite are used as finishes. Rainwater recycling, low-emissivity skylights and modular vertical planters with drip irrigation support sustainable living.
Time Imprint Residential House by Haocheng Qiao has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Time Imprint Residential House won the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
