Expandy
This is the office of a company that exports products from all over Japan overseas. It is located on the second floor of the company's vast logistics warehouse. The Spanish owner and a Japanese designer had many discussions to decide on the interior design. The design theme is a rough, dynamic, and inorganic monotone interior like an old warehouse in Europe or the United States. However, if everything is monotone, it becomes too inorganic and is not the best design for an office space to work in, so ingenuity has been put into each part to create a design suitable for an office space.
Expandy Office by SHUNSUKE OHE was highlighted as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Expandy Office won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
