Ramesh
Ramesh is an armchair inspired by the poised stance of a gazelle. The chair is composed of two main elements. The rear structure extends from the back legs to the armrests and backrest, forming a continuous arc. The front structure provides stability and is joined with cylindrical wood joints and reinforced rivet connectors. Cup-like armrests and a contoured, segmented backrest support ergonomic comfort. The frame is made of hardwood, shaped by computer controlled milling and refined by hand, while the upholstery is leather.
Ramesh Armchair by Sepideh Bayat was recognized as a creative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Ramesh Armchair received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2025. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that honors excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
