Flex Haven
Flex Haven is a residential interior design for a family apartment. The design balances play and function within an adaptable layout. A central slide is joined by a swing, monkey bars and a curved ceiling, forming an environment that grows with the child. The slide unit follows a block-inspired form, and the stairs retract to become flush storage or a hideout. A ceiling track allows later conversion into a storage room. Three zones separate the parents and children areas while keeping a shared family space, so the home suits changing needs.
Flex Haven Residential Space by Lo Hsiao-Li has been highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flex Haven Residential Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
